Environmental and social responsibility

Measured progress, not claims

Water, energy and chemistry tracked per kilogram of finished garment. Audits documented. Targets stated against a baseline.

Focus is narrow: water reuse in finishing, verified wet-process chemistry, responsible cotton and recycled fibres, audited social compliance.

Figures below are targets or work in progress. Exact numbers should be confirmed with our team before tender use.

Commitments we measure

Four areas. Target, baseline, status.

Same frame for each: what we target, against what, where we stand.

Wet-process recovery equipment

Water

Less freshwater in finishing

Denim finishing is water intensive. With partner laundries we capture, treat and reuse rinse water where process quality allows.

Target
25 to 40 percent less freshwater per garment
Baseline
Against 2022 wash recipes
Status
In progress with partner laundries
Production floor machinery

Energy

Lower intensity, cleaner sources

Cut kWh per finished garment through equipment renewal and efficiency work. Grow low-carbon electricity share over time.

Target
15 to 25 percent lower energy intensity
Baseline
Against 2022 production mix
Status
Measurement live; reductions early phase
Fabric dye and print process

Chemistry

Verified wet-process chemistry

ZDHC MRSL alignment with partner laundries. Target: 100 percent of bulk wet-process chemicals verified against an accepted restricted substances list.

Target
100 percent MRSL-compliant bulk chemistry
Baseline
Against current chemical inventory
Status
Targeting full coverage; audit underway
Branded recycled packaging cartons

Waste

Less cutting-room and packaging waste

Offcuts sorted by composition and routed to recyclers. Primary packaging is shifting to recycled polybags and kraft inserts as contracts renew.

Target
Zero cutting-room waste to landfill
Baseline
Sorted streams from 2024
Status
Rolling out with recycler partners

Certifications and audits

Standards we operate under or pursue

Held, actively pursued for our facility, or verified at partner level. Certificate numbers available on request.

Environmental and product

  • OEKO-TEX Standard 100Pursued or held for selected fabric and finished-goods ranges. Scope and number to be confirmed.
  • GOTSFor programs using certified organic cotton. Handled style-by-style with certified partner mills.
  • GRS / RCSGlobal Recycled Standard and Recycled Claim Standard, for programs with pre- and post-consumer recycled content.

Social compliance

  • amfori BSCICommitted to the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct. BSCI audits accepted at our facility. Status to be confirmed.
  • Sedex SMETA 4-PillarSedex SMETA 4-Pillar: labour, health and safety, environment, business ethics.
  • Internal compliance reviewQuarterly internal review of hours, wages, grievance logs and subcontracting records.

To-be-confirmed items require explicit verification by our team before being cited in tenders or B2B communications.

Supplier code of conduct

What we expect from the chain

Mills, laundries, trim suppliers and subcontractors work to the same standards we commit to. Aligned with amfori BSCI and Turkish labour law.

Reviewed annually. Signed at onboarding and after major scope changes. Findings are closed with a corrective action plan, not a walk-away.

Request the code of conduct
  • 01

    Labour rights and wages

No forced or child labour. Freedom of association respected. Wages meet or exceed legal minimum, paid on time.

  • 02

    Health and safety

Safe workplaces, accessible PPE, clear exits, trained first responders, documented risk assessments.

  • 03

    Transparent subcontracting

Only with prior written approval. Nominated subcontractors work under the same code and audit rights.

  • 04

    Responsible materials

Traceable fibre sourcing. Certified sustainable cotton and recycled fibre preferred. Documented avoidance of restricted chemistry in wet processes.

  • 05

    Environmental management

Legal compliance on discharge and emissions. Credible water and energy monitoring. Progress reporting, with escalation if targets slip.

Reporting and transparency

How we report, and how findings close out

Paperwork has to match the floor. Three workstreams keep our claims grounded.

Supply-chain traceability

Mills, laundries, trims and subcontractors recorded per program. Finished garments trace back to mill and wash recipe.

Audits and corrective actions

External audits (BSCI, SMETA, customer) scheduled, findings logged, corrective actions closed with evidence and re-check dates.

Grievance channel

Confidential channel for workers and suppliers. Reviewed by compliance within a defined SLA. Summarised in the quarterly review.
